Model based systems engineering and MOSA
We build integrated capability models using the UAF profile and SysML, aligned to DoDAF views, with atomic level traceability from capability down to requirement, architecture element, interface, test case, and configuration item. We deliver on an upgraded IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management platform, and we handle the high side to low side classification problem that stops most programs from putting a single model in front of the whole team.
What we put in place
- Requirements management with automated language quality checking to improve testability
- Change management and global configuration with a dramatically faster and more precise change cycle
- Integrated test and quality traced to requirements, model elements, and workflow tasks
- Automated publication of documents and CDRL deliverables from the model rather than from a document mill
- MOSA conformance assessment, modular partitioning, and open interface definition for competitive sustainment
- Pre built model patterns for military programs and platforms so a new program starts from a running model
Counter UAS and uncrewed systems
We engineer counter uncrewed aircraft systems and the uncrewed ground and air systems they defend against, from concept through training. Work includes low cost expendable interceptor development, sensor and effector integration, containerized and ship deployable configurations, and the operator training design that determines whether the system is usable under stress. We approach it as a system of systems rather than a single effector, because that is where most counter UAS programs fail.
Space systems
Ground and flight system architecture, mission operations, interoperability and interchangeability across mission partners, satellite servicing for both crewed and robotic concepts, and surface robotics. We treat the space segment, the ground segment, and the operations concept as one integrated model, so a change in any of the three shows its consequences in the other two before it costs anyone a launch window.
Training and simulation
A capability is not fielded until the operator can use it. We design and integrate training and simulation systems across live, virtual, and constructive environments, acting as the general contractor across the teams and technologies a modern training program pulls together. Our roots run deep in the Team Orlando community, and we bring the same model based discipline to training design that we bring to the platform.
The problem behind the schedule
The classification split is the largest source of avoidable delay we see.
Most large programs run two disconnected engineering environments, one on the high side and one on the low side, and pay for the reconciliation in schedule and rework. We design a single governed model with partitioned access so that unclassified partners, cleared staff, and program leadership all work against one authoritative source.
When programs call us
Four patterns account for most of our defense and space work.
| Brought in when | What we put in place | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Traceability is manual | Integrated requirements and model baseline | Rework falls and coverage becomes provable |
| Change is the bottleneck | Global configuration and automated impact analysis | Faster, more precise change cycles |
| Partners cannot share a model | Partitioned, governed, federated model | Concurrency across the program team |
| Capability must reach the field | Prototype first delivery with model traceability | Speed without losing rigor |
Start with the smallest piece of work that proves us out.
A fixed price study, a working prototype, or one embedded expert. We scope the first step so the deliverable is useful even if you never hire us again.
We will bring an engineer, not a salesperson.
